Leeds United are trying to move further away from the English Premier League relegation zone and a strong result in South London on Sunday could boost their hopes.
Brenden Aaronson and Chris Richards face off in Premier League action on Sunday at Selhurst Park. Aaronson has continued to play weekly for the Lilywhites despite seeing his goal contributions dry up over the last few months.
The U.S. men’s national team attacker has failed to record a goal or assist in each of his last 10 appearances cross all competitions. Still, Aaronson remains a key part of Daniel Farke’s squad due this strong work rate and defensive pressure as an attacking player.
Richards has played 90 minutes in each of his last 11 appearances for Crystal Palace as he continues to be a consistent starter in Oliver Glasner’s backline. The USMNT defender has showed zero signs of slowing down this season and remains a likely option to retain his starting spot for the remainder of the season.
The Eagles are 10 points out of the top-five race this season and mathematically still have a chance to make a strong run at things.
Elsewhere in England, Alyssa Thompson and Phallon Tullis-Joyce square off in the Women’s League Cup Final. Tyler Adams and Bournemouth take on Burnley in Premier League action.
In France, Folarin Balogun seeks to keep up his strong goalscoring run against Stade Brest. Tim Weah and Marseille face Auxerre.
In Italy, Christian Pulisic and AC Milan face off with Lazio. Weston McKennie and Juventus travel to Udinese. Ben Cremaschi seeks a second-straight start for Parma.
In Germany, Joe Scally and James Sands square off in Bundesliga action. Malik Tillman and Bayer Leverkusen host Bayern Munich.
